An unusual and very attractive Egyptian Scarab, New Kingdom or later, 2nd.-1st. mill. BC
A large high quality scarab; extrafine carving of the beattle with an interesting engraved pattern on it's back. Unusual set of Hieroglyphs on the bottom.
Size: ca. 25 mm. long.
Condition: Choice, small depression on the bottom, othervise intact. Greyish steatite with a fine patina.
Ex. Dr. Lammers, Hamburg, aquired prior to 1966.
