A rare and exceptional type of Battleaxe, according to Brøndsted dating to the latest fase of the battleaxes, ca. 2300-2000 BC.

Elaborately made axe with outswayed double blade to imitate the early copper battleaxes of European Early bronzeage. Also called a Helbard type.

Size: 14 cm. long and 7 cm over the blade, broad and massive.

Condition: Superb, very nice for type with original patina.

Provenance. In many Danish Private Collections, since the 1960s.
