An amazing large Silex Axe from the Daggertime, Late Danish Neolithic period, ca. 2200-1800 BC.
The axe imitates the large bronzeaxes from Early European bronzeage. Extremely wide blade and a very small butt. Finely polished broadsides with unpolished sides. Very attractive and high quality Silex, patinated in the finest brown, orange and red. The fossil inclusions, makes a great display of colours.
Size: 19,2 cm., one of the largest axes of this type.
Condition: Superb, nearly Mint, with some miniature chips to the othervise razorsharp edge.
