A superb quality large pottery attendant or official, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1450-1500 AD.
The male official stands in a fine two-colour blue & torquoise glazed robe.
Finely painted facial details. He holds a book under his right arm, the left hand is not missing - the figure is made to look as if the sleeve of the robe is longer than the arm.
A very beautiful Ming Dynasty pottery figure.
Size: 32-33 cm. in height - an impressive piece. (c. 12,8 inches).
Condition: Superb, well preserved glaze and pigment, undamaged and no repairs. Wear for age and type.
