A scarce and elaborate 'Golden Hamsa' Opium Weight, Burmese, (Ava, Rangoon or Mandalay), Period: 1757-1767, King Alaungpaya.

Octagonal lower stepped base, 9-star mark, Beak content, Rod-like or treefoil, 2 neck ridges, one back cover.

Weight: ca. 330 grams - a massive and beautiful weight!

Condition: Choice, much smooth wear, terrific brown patina.
