Finely detailed pottery figure of a soldier on horseback dating to the Chinese Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.
Very vivid figure of a horse being brought to halt. The rider wears a helmet, a dark blue coat or robe and carries a sheaded sword in front of him.
The mane, harness and the tail of the horse in matching tourquoise colored glaze.
Unglazed areas are covered with pigmented colors in red, white and black. Fine facial features on the attachable head.
Size: ca. 29,5 x 24,5 cm. (c. 11,6 x 9,6 inches).
Condition: Nearly superb with wear for age and type.
