A scarce set of three small Opium Weights, Beast/To/Chinthe, Burmese, c. late 18th. century.

This type of weight is rather scarce in the very small values or denominations; here's a 30,74 grams, 16,26 grams and 15,64 grams weight in the same lot. This equals to 2 and 1 tical Weights! Made in fine high tin content bronze, that gives the surface a silvery shine.

Condition: Choice, fine smooth wear and patinas.

Reff: See Leif B. Mikkelsen 'Opium Weights', p. 133-134.

Provenance: Important massive Danish Private Collection of Opium Weights, collected between 1970s-1990 with a focus on the rare to very rare weights from different parts of SE Asia.
