A very fine silver and bronze Buddhist Temple Bell, Indonesia, Java, Majapahit Empire or earlier, 10th.-13th. century AD.
A finely cast bell in two sections; the bell in silver or base silver and the stem and finial in bronze. The finial represent the Buddhist eight-spoked dharmachakra or Dharma wheel. The eight spokes represent the Noble Eightfold Path of Buddhism. Losses or casting flaws to three of the spokes.
Size: 12,5 cm.
Condition: Choice!, apart from a few losses, perhaps from the making, the piece is in pristine condition really, fine metal and patinas.
