A very rare and important stamp seal, carved from glass, likely Achamenid, 7th.-5th. century BC.
The round seal carved with a knob handle and drilled through the knob. The seal depicts a mythical fight between a lion and a stagg or antilope.
Size: 19 mm. tall and 19 mm. wide.
Condition: Choice, very tiny loss to the seal plate.
Ex. German Collection (Berlin), collected from the 1980s and onwards.
Comes with collectors own notes and photos mounted on filt with a hard wax impression.
