A rare massive Gilt bronze Tara or Bodhisattva, Sino-Tibetan, Qing Dynasty.
The figure seated on a large multistepped podium, holding Lotus and wearing a huge elaborate crown and headdress. A superb quality figure with the full surface engraved with tiny details of jevellery. The throne decorated with incised imagery; The figure fully gilt with fine firegilding, leaving the face without gilt, very attractive. The base with original brownish patinated cobber seal.
Size: 32 cm. high as a seated figure, very broad and massive, the throne is 22,5 cm. wide and it weighs nearly 5 kilograms.
Condition: Choice, beautiful patina with wear on exposed areas.
