An outstanding and unsually large Pre-Columbian Blackware vessel, dating to the earlier Inca Empire, ca. 12th.-13th. century AD.
The vessel with a spectacular decoration even for this lavish types; Double chambered and dot / knob decoration over the surface. One chamber shaped as a fat humanoid figure with cats ears and tiny arms, the chamber decorated with a multitude of birds feading on the dots. The other chamber with a large coiled fish.
Size: 26 cm. wide and 22 cm. high - a really large vessel!
Condition: Choice! One long hairline on one chamber, difficult to spot and othervise completely intact.
