A fine pair of different and nicely decorated Indus Valley pottery jars, dating to c. 3rd mill. BC. Probably Mehrgarh-civilisation.

One of the jars is of a vase form with a small round base and a flaring rim, the other of a typical Indus form with conical walls, both with painted motifs of fishes and geomethric forms.

Size: 1,3 cm. high and 10 cm. wide for the conical form, and ca. 11,5 cm. tall for the vase.

Condition: Choice lot! Intact with fine decoration. Minor chip to back of rim of the vase, the other is completely intact!

Ex. Danish Private collection.
