A superb quality Islamic bowl, Islamic, 12th century A.D. (494 AH – 597 AH). Central Asia - Bamiyan.
Substantial for type and perhaps the most interesting we have of this type! Pearly white glaze with very pronounced Sgraffito decoration (relief-carving) of a floral design, pottery bowl with flaring body rising from a short foot, the rim decorated with splashes of brown glaze.
Condition: Superb for type. Almost perfectly intact and with fine grazing and fully covered in silver and rainbow iridescence!
Size: 12,3 cm. wide and approx 6 cm. high.
