A huge Openwork Stamp Seal, Oxus civilization or Bactria-Margiana Complex, Ca. 2600 to 2100 BC. Middle Bronze Age, Western Central Asia.

Located in present day northern Afghanistan, eastern Turkmenistan, southern Uzbekistan and western Tajikistan, centered on the upper Amu Darya (Oxus River)

A really massive and decorative bronze or white bronze (high silver content) stamp seal, of the earlier floral types, done in openwork; with a larger loop on the back.

Diameter: 6,8 cm. - the largest we've ever had in stock.

Condition: Superb, cleaned and waxed with some patina remaining.
