A high quality bronze spear head Ancient Near East, Turkmenistan / Caspian Sea area bronze age, dating to c. 1400-800 BC.
Prolonged, leafshaped blade with raised central midrib. A shank seperates the long tang form the blade. (c. half the length) with a bend at the top, for better fastening to the wooden shaft.
Size: c. 29 cm - 11,5 inches.
Condition: Nearly superb. Beautiful green bronze patina. Slight roghness to the edge and a small scratch on the blade on one side. Smallermareas with earthern deposits.
