A rare and very nice early bronze Buddha, Burma, Ava period, 1364-1555 AD.
A very attractive Buddha with a particularly fine and unusual expression.
The buddha once excarvated and finely cleaned with an olive patina, still retaining the thick green patina and corrosion under the base.

The Ava Kingdom was the dominant kingdom that ruled upper Burma (Myanmar) from 1364 to 1555. Founded in 1364.
Provenance: Ex. Henri, Prince of Denmarks Private Collection. The collection was sold in 2019/20 in three public auctions, consisting of 1000s of objects of Asian and African art. Comes with COA and lot number in the collection.
