A beautiful and rare Danish silex (flint) Axe from the Daggertime, a Late Danish Neolithic period, ca. 2200-1800 BC.
The axe likely imitates the large bronzeaxes from Early European bronzeage. Partly polished broadsides with unpolished sides, in family with the daggers of the late period with visible seams. Very attractive and high quality Silex, patinated tones of brown. The fossil inclusions, makes a great display of colours.
Size: 12 cm.
Condition: Choice, near mint with some miniature chips to the sharp edge.
