Lovely silver tweezer with Birds head, Peru, Pre-Columbian period, 900-1400 AD.

An unusually elaborate tweezer with a birds head with large beak and rather high grade silver.

Tweezers, like this one, were used by the men and perhaps women as well to remove facial and body hair.

Size: 35 mm. tall and 30 mm. long (birds head)

Provenance: German Private Collection of U.C. and has been in Germany since 1973. The item comes with certificate of authenticity with provenance indicated.
