A lovely early antique bronze temple bell in the form of Hanuman and Krishna (?) - India, Deccan, dating 18th-19th. century.

The bell superbly cast with an artfully modelled double figure on top - one side is a winged Hanuman with the monkey features and the other likely Krishna.

The figures are rendered here in a surpricingly fine style for the period and local area!

The bell is still working excellently with it's bullit in a chain inside and has a fine high pitched tone.

Size: 16 cm.

Condition: Superb, lovely patina, especially dark around the head of the figure, where it's was frequently touched by human hands.
