Massive carving in the form of an openwork belt buckle in a lovely celadon-white translucent nephrite, Chinese, probably Qoing but could be somewhat later.
The belt buckle is displaying intricately carved medalions with humans amongst flowers and a bat below - a dragon head form hook. The stone is really beautiful - a pale bluish white with a few russet inclusions, very pure even colour!
Size: 13,9 cm. long and weighing 127 grams.
Condition: Extremely fine.
Ex. Old Danish Estate collection of Tom Klitgaard, aquired 1960s-1990s. The collector handpicked particular fine jade pieces from auctions and dealers over a span of 30 years and he paid good money for them as well, so they are all kind of special.
