A group of some very attractive stamp seals in black and red stones, Mesopotamia, Ubaid period to figural, 5th.-3rd. mill. BC.
There's a pair of hemispheric seals with animals, 3rd. mill. BC, an interesting round seal in red stone, probably early Ubaid or Halaf period and lastly a round seal with handle in black stone, finely engraved with bulls eyes and radiates, c. 4th. mill. BC.
Size: Up to 22 mm.
The seals comes with original ID-cards from below collection.
Provenance: Gustav Oberländer (1926-2012), Oberländer aquired his massive and important collection between 1985 - 2000s, bought at reputable dealers and from old collections. Gustav Oberländer specialized in early stamp seals from the pre-historic and Dynastic civilizations in the Near East / Mesopotamia, Anatolia and Bactrian.
