A larger cylinder seal carved in a fine redish-orange stone, Middle Assyrian, provincial, later 2nd. millennium BC.
A sharp seal showing a bowman aiming at a horned animal and another animal behind, perhaps a Lion, in the fields the symbols of the Sun and Moon for the ruling deity, Ashur and his servant on planet earth the Assyrian king.
Height: 29 mm, duameter 9 mm.
Condition: Nice Very fine or better, choice and basically intact.
Provenance: The Karl Müller collection, Germany 1950-1977. Comes with COA and his imprint. (pictured).
