A huge gilt bronze figure of Buddha in exceptional quality, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), c. 16th. century AD.
A highly detailed bronze buddha of a heavy thic cast with much preserved laquer and fine gilt. The bronze figure depicts Buddha with a lovely expression and exceptional sculptured and engraved details to his robe and the Lotus Throne.
Size: 38 cm. tall and 26 cm. wide, very deep as well and weighing around 6,5 kilograms.
Condition: Nice very fine, typical small casting hole in the Throne, and a restaured loss to the back of head, light roughness to the edge of the base. Beautiful patina and very rare in this large size and fine execution.
