Chinese stonewear QINGBAI, Song Dynasty, BOX and COVER, octagonal with ribbed sides, flat base and convex cover. Molded design of peony and sagittaria flowers. The glaze has pooled on the cover and produced a deeper ice-blue tone. The peony flower is symbolic of nobility & wealth. Chinese stonewear (tea) BOWL with black Cizhou glaze applied thickly over the finely potted cup with a slightly everted rim. Song Dynasty. There are some "losses" as expected with some scratching on both the inside and outside of the cup. No apparent chips cracks or restorations. Diameter is 4.75 inches (12.2 cms) and height is 2 7/8 of an inch or (7.4 cms.) Note: the "red" color in the photographs are a reflection!

Large Chinese pottery Chizou VASE with archaic handles and lobed body with a soft cream thick glaze overall. Very well modeled with distinctive handles which were based upon earlier metallic shapes in Shang and Zhou dynasties. Height is 13 1/8 inches or (33 cm) and width of rim is 5.5 inches or (14 cm) There is some damage (glaze chip to base and 2 small glaze losses on body) as shown in photos but vase is in generally good overall condition. Circa: 16-17th Century.
