Restored Black Lacquer, Japanese 4 panel shoji SCREEN with Keyaki(Zelkova)wood panels (on the bottom of each screen) and brass hinges. Very SHIBUI, each panel used to be a window; and each panel has Japanese inscribed on the top in Indian Ink. This was intentionally left exposed (an area about 3-4" in length, see enlargement photo#4) when it was restored. The Shoji paper is new. Circa 1900-1920. Each panel's size is 37" in height by 17.5 inches in width. Overall length = 70"...

Beautiful Japanese solid Keyaki wood CANDLE STAND, with a wrought iron spike to hold the candle. Beautiful grain and aging of wood. Simple yet functional design. Circa: 1910-1920. Height is 28" and the diameter of the base is 8.25 inches.

19th Century Japanese cedar and bamboo CANDLESTAND with sliding circular shoji paper screen, all with a "bengara" finish. There is a small sliding drawer (for wicks) in the base in front. Condition is fair, with some worn areas and some deterioration near the bottom and back. (see photos #5 and 6) Shoji screen is somewhat damaged, but can be easily repaired with shoji paper from Japan...
