Iranian or Persian COPPER VESSEL originally used by the nomadic tribes in Iran for gathering goat's milk, this beautifully shaped 90% pure copper vessel has a foliate rim, narrow neck, sturdy handle and broad base, all hand-made. There is no decoration other than the hammer marks used to shape it when it was made. Could be used as a decorative item or to hold long matches next to the fireplace! The height is 13.5 inches (34.3 cms) the diameter at the top is 4.4" (11.1 cms.) and at the bottom 8.18" or 20.7 cms. Condition is good with a nice patina. Circa: Early 20th Century.
