This magnificent painting of oil on canvas depicts Fath-Ali Shah Qajar (September 1772 – 23 October 1834), the second ruler of the Qajar Dynasty. Fath-Ali Shah was known to transform a largely tribal khan-ship into a centralized monarchy on the old imperial model which brought to the guarded domains of Persia, a period of relative calm and prosperity, secured a state-religious symbiosis, and fostered a period of cultural and artistic revival.
This exclusive painting features Fath-Ali Shah Qajar in his early years of reign in early 1800. It is in fabulous vintage condition and expresses in its highest the saturated hues and style of that era including the fine details on the Shah's crown.
This work of art is beautifully framed with a golden finish wooden frame decorated with fine patterns throughout.
The masterpiece is indeed a precious fine art reflecting an important era in the Persian history.
The oil on canvas measures 24 x 30 inches or 60 x 76 cm.
The frame measures 19 x 28 inches or 48 x 53 cm.
Due to the delicacy of the artwork, all sales are final and no returns will be accepted.
