This is an exquisite piece from Unger Brothers that has catered to Art Nouveau connoisseurs in America from 1872-1910. The firm advertised as manufacturing jewelers, silversmiths, and glass cutters. They had both a factory and salesroom located in Newark, NJ.
This magnificent cigarette case with its elaborate execution is a great illustration of the Unger Brothers craftsmanship.
The case is highly monogrammed with two angles warming their hands with the fire.
The cover of the box closes tight and the interior guard is present and in good shape.
