This is an elegant pendant depicting a US Indian Head penny coin from 1906, beautifully mounted on a custom made sterling silver frame, attached to a sterling silver custom made woven chain with clasp. The chain has flexibility for extension. The date is clearly identifiable as 1906.
The Indian Head cent, also known as an Indian Head penny, was a one cent coin produced by the United States Bureau of the Coins from 1859 to 1909. It was designed by James Barton Longacre, the chief engraver at the Philadelphia Mint. The Indian Head penny has a bronze composition of 95% copper - 5% tin and zinc.
