Offered is a fabulous antique Japanese bronze vase from the Meiji time period, 1868-1912. This beautiful vase depicts in detailed repoussé three birds, various flowers and plants throughout embellished with an impressive green old patina. The stamp of the maker relating to the age and time period of the vase is visible on the bottom of this marvelous antique vase. The Meiji period is a Japanese time era which was extended from September 8, 1868 through July 30, 1912. This period represents the first half of the empire of Japan during which Japanese society moved from being an isolated feudal society to its modern form. Fundamental changes has affected the social structure, internal politics, economy, military, and foreign relations of Japan. This time period corresponded with the reign of the emperor Meiji in 1868 and lasted until his death in 1912. This marvelous, tall, and antique Japanese vase measures 15 inches (38 cm) in height and 8.66 inches (22 cm) in width.
