Offered is a marvelous antique cased pair of German flintlock holster pistols by 'KUCHENREUTER', c. 18th century. They have 10" .52 cal. octagon-to-round barrels with gold filled barrel mark and decorative inlaid silver wire and makers name; 'JOH AND KUCHENREUTER' (both barrels are pitted). There are round face locks with remnants of the maker's signature with set triggers. Plain brass furniture. The stocks have a nice high relief decorative carving and are solid. Some scratches and dings from years of handling. Both pistols are in good working order. A beautiful pair of pistols!
Original period box with original green baize interior (some restorations). Measures 9"x 17 3/4".
Accessories include; 2 powder flasks, a bullet mold, lead balls, funnel, tow, extra flints, turn-screw, and cleaning rod.
