An extremely rare excavated ancient Chinese Bronze Finial/Scepter/Ruji with an oval fitting holding white jadeite jade, adorned with a finely carved flat end piece inset set with a cream colored jadeite jade carved with wave relief on both sides. Must have belonged to a high ranking nobleman. This bronze has a thick, crusty and naturally formed patina with malachite colored highlights. Base is hollow, so may have been mounted originally.
