Printed in 1884, this fine woodblock depicts Hideyoshi Toyotomi blowing a mouth organ as well as other famous warriors, before the attack on the fortress/castle of Tottori in 1581. This is a beautiful and rare original antique Japanese Polychrome Woodblock Print "Itsutomi" Ukiyo-e by Utagawa Toyokumi dated 1793 or 1795, Edo Period, depicting a beautifully dressed and elegant Lady with her Shamisen instrument on the floor. Calligraphy markings/seal. Overall in very good condition with very small inconsequential tear on the outside (right frame, see photo). Size: 15.5" x 10.25" (39.5 cm. x 26.5 cm). This Woodblock has now been framed under glass.

A rare Polychrome Woodcut "Artisansin Straw" by Mitsuoki Tosa (1617 to 1601), Japan, framed. From a collection of Artisans. Good condition, size: 19.5" x 13.75". Tosa Mitsuoki was one of three outstanding Tosa painters to the imperial court, also known as "Three Brushes".
