Exceptionally large and serene lacquer antique Buddha dressed in royal robes, intricately inlaid with inset flat glass/mirror mosaics backed with colored foil and further decorated with moulded relief work forming beautiful spirals. The Buddha is seated in "bhumisparshamudra" (subduing Mara); his left hand rests palm upward, on his lap, and the right hand rests on his right knee, calling the Earth to witness. A very large and rare Cinnabar Red Wood and Lacquer Offering Tray, 19th Century, Northern Thailand. Good overall condition, some wear due to considerable age. Size: H. 31 cm. x 51 cm. top diameter. Very difficult to find now.

Very rare and large French Silver plated Baroque Tripod Candelabrum. Relief cast with detailed shell designs, scrolling and 3 attached gilt holy figures. Elaborate as the Baroque style is and a rare specimen ! Condition good, silver plate somewhat worn off due to age and use, good weight. A very rare Giant Size Dry Lacquer Buddha Head on a custom made base (can be removed), Shan State, Burma, 19th Century. Very nice smooth Patina, some inconsequential wear, especially to individual hair curls, but excellent overall condition as shown. The Ushnisha or Flame on the top of the head is removable and most likely from a later date as is typical of such venerated Buddha images. Guaranteed 19th Century.
