This choice example is 6-7/8” high, 5-1/2” in diameter, it is decorated with carved zoomorphic and stucco covered registers that are fertility related. A large Maya cylinder vase from Jutiapa in southern Guatemala, ca. 400 - 800 AD. This elegant, corseted creamware beaker is 9-3/4" high, 6-1/2" wide at the flaring rim and is decorated with a trio of deeply incised Moan birds. This rare fetish is 5-1/2” high, 5” in diameter and consists of a conglomerate of numerous carved wood figures and bundles with unknown contents, all bound together with cloth, interwoven cord and ritual material.  These surround an old fluted glass mounted atop. An excellent Maya bowl from El Salvador, ca. 400 – 700 AD. This fine chocolateware example is 7” in diameter and is decorated with a register of glyphs, one of which is the symbol for flint. The glyphs retain remnants of cinnabar and the lower band consists of fluted panels. Repaired from two sections, with strong mineral deposits covering the highly burnished slip.
