An excellent Chimu zoomorphic bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This fine blackware vessel is 8" high and depicts a skate, with the typical gills carved into the front of the chamber. Note the way the artist added adornos along the bridge of the spout, in order to mimic the thorn-like bumps found along the back and tail of skates. Rare motif, intact, with good mineral deposits.

A large Chimu-Inca flask with shamanic motif from Peru, ca. 1400 – 1500 AD. This finely made example is 9-1/4” high and features a shaman performing a rain ceremony. He is depicted standing with arms raised and is wearing a complex headdress. The other side has a quartered motif mimicking leather straps. In excellent condition, with strong mineral deposits.

A fine Moche IV zoomorphic vessel from Peru, ca. 450 – 550 AD. This beautifully sculpted brownware example is 9” high and portrays a recumbent stag. An excellent Chancay comb from Peru, ca. 1100 – 1450 AD. This rare weaving tool is 3-1/2” long, 2-3/8” wide. Beautifully made from split reed, most likely Carrizo, with flattened points on both sides. This rare textile weaving tool is bound with the brown and tan braided thread typical of Chancay textile manufacture and has an unusual stitched element. Choice example.

A gorgeous Maya cylinder from the Peten region of Guatemala, ca. 250 - 600 AD. This beautiful polychrome is 6-1/4" high, 5-1/2" in diameter and is decorated with a trio of complex water symbols.
