A lovely Colima figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC – 300 AD. This choice two-tone female is 12-3/4” high and is posed seated, with one hand held to the side of her face in a thoughtful gesture. She is attired with a long skirt and her elongated ears are pierced. In exceptional condition, with highly burnished slip and good mineral deposits.

A wonderful Colima village scene from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC – 300 AD. It is mounted on a 5-1/2” diameter platform and consists of 2 houses and six figures. The dominant figure is a pregnant female leaning against one of the structures, her status is communicated via her relative size. A beautiful Vera Cruz figure from Mexico, ca. 300 – 600 AD. This large Remojades type female is 10-3/4” high and is posed seated, with hands resting on the crossed legs and oddly elongated thumbs. She is wearing a long skirt and is adorned with ear ornaments and a necklace. In excellent condition, with fine facial features and extensive chapopote décor. Strong mineral deposits.

A beautiful Mixtec stone pendant from Mexico, ca. 1000 - 1500 AD. This masterfully detailed example is 1-3/8" long and depicts a fox, portrayed with its head twisted to look over its back. Even the feet on the underside are finished in fine detail. Carved from speckled olive green serpentine and perforated for suspension. Highly polished, perfect.

A rare Chupicuaro figural vessel from Mexico, ca. 400 – 100 BC. It is 5-5/8” high, 4” in diameter and has a nicely detailed head protruding from the flared rim. The eyes retain white stucco and the ear ornaments are highlighted with red, matching the red slip is covering the top of the chamber. The vessel is intact and has extensive root marks and mineral deposits.

A beautiful Chontal pendant from the Tabasco area of Mexico, ca. 400 BC - 300 AD. It is 2" high and is carved from beautifully mottled green-gray stone. The artist created an eerie, stylized face, with eyes and mouth set of by a highly polished surface. Perforated at the top for suspension.

This figure was stolen on December 11, from the Bella Gallery in Great Barrington, Mass., where it was part of a collection being exhibited.

A gorgeous Nayarit polychrome male, 6" tall. This Ixtlan del Rio variant, ca. 200 BC - 350 AD stands on bifurcated feet and is lavishly painted overall. An excellent example. Intact.
