A rare Huastec figural vessel from Mexico, ca. 200 – 500 AD. This excellent spouted example is 6-1/4” long, 5-1/4” high and depicts a prone individual. His face is nicely detailed, and the head and chamber are elaborately painted to show a fancy headdress and clothing. Intact, with good mineral deposits.

A large Colima shaman figure from West Mexico, ca. 300 BC – 300 AD. This seated male is 15-1/2” high and portrays a shaman with the identifying forehead horn projecting from an unusual headdress. He is adorned with extensive shoulder scarification, a segmented necklace and perforated ears. Teeth are indicated in the open mouth with deep incising and the highly burnished red slip shows extensive dendrites. Great presence

A beautifully sculpted Ameca figure from Jalisco, West Mexico, ca. 200 BC – 350 AD. This elaborately painted female is 8” high and is posed kneeling, with the legs tucked underneath. She is carrying a large vessel, strapped to her head with a tump line and supported with one hand. She is adorned with painted necklaces and has ritual tattoos on her breasts and chin. An excellent example of the type, with vivid paint and good mineral deposits.

A gorgeous Nayarit polychrome male, 6" tall. This Ixtlan del Rio variant, ca. 200 BC - 350 AD stands on bifurcated feet and is lavishly painted overall. An excellent example. Intact.
