A rare Lambayeque (Sican) shell necklace from Peru, ca. 700 – 1300 AD. It consists of 14 graduated matching bird pendants, ranging from 1-1/4” to 2-1/4”, each with an inlaid eye. The right facing ones have purple shell eyes, the others red Spondylus eyes. All are double perforated for easy stringing into a necklace. Comes displayed in Riker mount if you wish.
