This is a pair of Japanese double gourd shaped Satsuma vases by TOZAN . They are made in a great Japanese taste with print –like painting with different decorations on each and fine clouds made with gold dots. There are signature- seals and original paper stickers on the bottom of each vase. The vases date 19th century, Meiji, Japan and stand 6 ¼” x 4 ¾” each.

This is a magnificent Japanese unusually shaped four-paneled gosu-blue signed Satsuma Vase. It has a finely hand- painted and gilded scene of two shi-shi on one shield, two dragons on another panel , flowers over fans on other two shields.
