This is an outstanding Japanese blue and white HIRADO vase decorated with four hand-painted shields. One shield depicts a scene of a mountain landscape, another shield has a rooster on it , the third shield shows a landscape with two birds, and the fourth shied depicts a landscape with two people on a bridge. The top and the bottom of the vase have symbolic ornaments. The background of the vase and a top rim are finely decorated with low relieves.
This magnificent Hirado vase is in excellent condition with no damages or losses; it is heavy by weight.
The Vase dates 19th century , Meiji, Japan , and stands 12 3/8 inches tall by 8 1/4 inches in diameter.
