This is a very rare Japanese Satsuma Vase with two handles in a shape of shishi heads. It has fine symbolic decorations to the top and gorgeous painting of sea-crabs of various size: some of them carry leaves and flowers , and some carry big fruits. The subject is rare and desirable. It dates 19th century, Meiji, Japan and stands 10 ¼” tall x 7” D.
