This is a magnificent Palace size Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Ko-Kutani Vase with two handles in a shape of foo-dogs.The vase has beautiful hand-painted decorations with partly gilded elements, and wonderful round panoramic scrolls with a temple, houses, people, a boat, a bridge , a river and tree with mountains. It has a Kutani green silk mark on the bottom . There are a few original under-glazed "bake" short hairlines on the edge (which are typical for heavy vase like this one). Otherwise, it is in excellent original condition with no losses, no hairlines, or damages. 18" tall x 12 3/4" D.
