Important Japanese Meiji Period late 19th century cobalt -blue pair of big Satsuma Vases with gorgeous painted scenes on each. Front panels of each vase depict seven women, two men and three children and a river with ships; houses and mountains on the background.
The vases look alike but they are different in details.
Another panels on each vase are decorated with two women and a girl, with houses, mountains and trees.

Tops, sides and bottom of the vases have fine gold decorations over cobalt-blue with no wear to gold.
The vases are signed by Kinkozan.
