Japanese Meiji Period (19th century)Tokyo School signed Bronze Okimono of a resting old man with a tobacco pipe in his right hand and a tobacco pouch and case in his left hand, on on original wood base. It is fine cast with beautiful details over man's face, hands and feet. The Okimono is originally patinated with dark, almost black patina. The Okimono is signed by the artist. The signature is on the underneath of the okimono. The original wood base has beautiful patina to wood. It is 15 1/2" tall x 14 3/4" wide x 15" deep (with the base). The bronze is 13" tall x 8 1/2" wide (without the base).
