Top quality Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Satsuma Vase with a relief of a lizard, made and signed by Fuzan. The vase is made with gorgeous raised enameling and gilding over the lizard which is crawling around the vase. The vase also depicts ten dancing women over the lower part of the vase, floral decorations on the upper part and multiple various symbolic decorations throughout the vase. The interior of the opening of the vase is also finely hand- decorated. 8" tall x 3 1/8" D.
