Pair of tall Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Satsuma Vases attributed to Chin Jukan. One Vase has a panoramic hand-painted scene with four men; one of which holds a pipe and another one hunts on two deer on a hill. Another vase has a panoramic scene of a bird catcher with a long stick, a boy next to him watching a bird, a samurai with two swords and a fan in his hand; a fisherman in a boat holding four ducks on leashes (old Japanese way of fishing). The top and bottom of vases have raised enamel designs; there are various floral decorations on the upper and lower parts of the vases. The Vases are very detailed and display nicely.
The Vases are in original condition with a several tiny misglazed spots on top. No damages.
