One of the finest ever offered on ebay museum quality Japanese Meiji (1868-1912) Satsuma Plate by Hankinzan (Yabu Meizan's top artist). It is decorated with indescribable slightly raised gilding ornaments over three open wall panels and a floor screen with a small table and a vase on it , bronze hibachi on a pedestal, and a silk clod design. There are seven butterflies above decorative panels. A big panel has floral decorations, trees, and bird design. Six-part panel has aristocrats, a temple, houses, and a landscape. Smaller panel on right shows two scenes with children and Baku. Floor screen has mountains , houses, river, and a bridge within landscape. The background of the plate has symbolic gold ornaments and edge has a symbolic stripe. The back has floral decoration.
