This is a very fine Japanese Ivory Okimono of a fisherman with two fish on a fishing-rod. He has extremely fine hand-carved tobacco pipe, case, inro and Noh-mask netsuke. The kimono of the fisherman has a beautiful scrimshaw work that depicts a noh-mask, dice, a rabbit, fans etc. The okimono has an original age patina and a high hand polishing. It has a seal-signature on the bottom.
This Ivory Okimono is in excellent condition with no losses or chips.It stands 4 3/4 inches tall and dates late 19th century, Meiji, Japan.
