16th century Jizo Bosatsu that was displayed in Cleveland museum of Japanese arts and sold to us by the owner a few years ago. I has an original sticker that says "Jizo figure , late Miromachi period, 425 years old" , and an inventory number on the back (please see the pics)
The figurine is carved from one piece of wood with an original dark , almost black patina. It holds a gilded peach in its left hand (right hand has a hole- probably there was an object that is now missing). It stands on an original wood lacquer dark age patinated and slightly worn original stand.
The partly gilded nimb is mounted behind the statue and is removable. All three parts are original , with a very little wear according to the age.
Most of the pieces from that time have damaged parts and missing hands, but this one does not!
The Okimono stands 27.2 inches tall by 8.2" wide by 7 inches deep.
Buddha is 21 inches tall
